Tallahassee: Florida Swimming Pool Design, Construction, and Compliance

The Buildings Officials Association of Florida (BOAF) and Florida Swimming Pool Association (FSPA), under the sponsorship of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Florida Building Commission, are pleased to present this 4-hour grant-funded building code training course: Florida Swimming Pool Design, Construction, and Compliance

Course Description: Design professionals, contractors, plans examiners and inspectors will learn the science behind applicable Florida Building Code requirements for public and private swimming pools, spas, interactive water features and water slides. Use of checklists and guidelines developed by BOAF and FPSA will assist attendees understand how to comply with Florida Building Code requirements. 4 hours of CEUs are awarded upon completion.

This course is offered at no cost to license holders in the state of Florida (building inspectors, plans examiners, building code officials, licensed contractors, etc.). Employees of license holders may attend but must provide documentation upon registration.

The scholarship application for the 2018-2019 FSPA Scholarship Program is ready!  Dependents of owners or company employees (of 2+ years) are welcome to download the application.  All materials are due in the office by June 29.  Spread the word to any company staff with graduating high schoolers or college students.
